eTechSchoolBus is a school bus security solution focused on safety and efficiency, utilizing GPS and RFID technology, currently implemented in over 50 schools. It is an integral part of India's pioneering School Analytics Platform, eTechSchool.

Recent studies have highlighted parental concerns regarding student safety during school bus transit, driven by rising crime rates and irresponsible driving practices. eTechSchoolBus addresses these worries by providing comprehensive tracking functionalities.

The solution is available in two versions:

1. Basic GPS Tracking Systems: This system involves equipping school buses with GPS tracking devices that relay real-time data to eTechSchoolBus servers. Administrators and parents can monitor vehicles instantly and set up alerts such as Geofencing, GPS/Power cutoffs, and speed limit violations. An Android App is available for parents to access real-time vehicle locations and receive notifications about alerts generated by the system.
2. GPS + RFID Systems: This advanced variant combines GPS and RFID technologies to provide precise location updates on students' whereabouts. RFID tags ensure accurate tracking of student pickups and drop-offs, while GPS devices in buses offer real-time vehicle location data. Parents receive push notifications informing them of the bus's arrival and when their child boards or alights from the bus.

An individual smart card is allocated to each student containing their ID information. Smart card readers installed at bus entry and exit points coordinate with GPS devices for accurate tracking during pickups and drop-offs.

The system empowers parents with unique login credentials to track their child’s bus location exclusively. School administrators also receive access credentials to monitor all buses under their purview.

eTechSchoolBus eliminates the uncertainty associated with Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) messages through its Android app, offering real-time vehicle monitoring capabilities that obviate the need for continual ETA updates. This feature mitigates common issues like delayed notifications due to network glitches.
